My dearest incredible one and only sister. At 2 am today, March 3rd, precisely one year ago today, you went to be with the Lord. Not
a day goes by that I don't think about you and long to be with you...
You always had to do every life event ahead of me....and even pass on to God's Kingdom. Know that I miss you terribly and will always remember our times together....especially at the beach...
our legacy to our family. I miss you so.. Thank heaven our beloved Hannie is still by my side.. with parts of you too since she was your dog... asthma, breathing problems, allergies, mobility issues, separation anxiety, and insomnia. Steve says your soul resides in Hannie.... She is the best dog I have ever had and all because of you...... In loving memory. Sue

Dear darling Carol. Ever since you called me and told me about your most recent illness I have thought about you. I tried numerous times to call you both on your landline and on your cell phone but got no answer. We have been friends since college. First Care passed away and now you. My heart aches for my two very wonderful friends. Rest in peace my dear. I Love you, Betty Appel Bailey

Rev. Holmes was a most wonderful, thoughtful and compassionate chaplain at St. Margaret's. She was a trustworthy person the students could go to when they needed someone to talk with.
She and I would later attend Truro Episcopal in Fairfax together.
I will truly miss you, Carrie.

My dear friend, Carol! I have been searching for you for a number of years but always hit a dead end! In all our clergy records you were still listed as living in Alexandria. I am so disappointed that we didn't reconnect. My love to Todd, Stephen, Sarah and sister, Sue. You are a gift whether alive in this world or the next! I will feel your presence at the ocean -- and never forget our trip to Cape Cod many years ago. Glad we shared part of our journeys together, my friend and colleague.

What a beautiful friend you were to me, Caroline. I treasure our times together. You were a great strength to me and counselor. You made such a difference in this world, sharing the love of Jesus as a mother, sister, teacher, priest, and friend. My son Jack wrote this about you: "She was a wonderful woman who expressed the true spirit of Christ to everyone she met." I couldn't agree more. What joy it is to know that you are completely whole now and with the Lord Jesus whom you loved so deeply. I will miss you!
You were always dressed to the nines!

My beloved sister, you approached your entire life with compassion and courage, especially as you
went through these final months of your life. You
were devoted to your friends and family, especially Todd and Steve.. Now you are with The Lord. I will always miss my closest friend and confidant. Dear sister you will be in my heart for all eternity. We had such fun together exploring the beaches on the East Coast together with our final destination Myrtle Beach, SC. God brought united us here together. Myrtle Beach is our legacy to our family.
May you rest peacefully after all you endured here on this earth before your entry into the kingdom of God. With my deepest love for you....Your one and only sister Sue
