Harold Gates Obituary

Harold L. Gates, 75, died Saturday, December 11, 2010 at his home.
Born May 14, 1935 in Somers, Conn., he was the son of the late George and Olive Nichols Gates.
Mr. Gates is survived by two sons, Mitchell Gates of Castle Rock, Colo., Kurt Gates of Little Rock, Ark.; one daughter, Patricia Driggars of Horseshoe Bay, Texas; three brothers, David Gates of Little River, George Gates and Thomas Gates, both of Fla.; one sister, Loes Hemmler of Conn.; and seven grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his wife, Linda L. Gates.
A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 15, 2010 at Olyphic Baptist Church, Hwy. 905, Tabor City, N.C.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to American Cancer Society, 950 48th Avenue North, Suite 101, Myrtle Beach, SC 29577.
Lee Funeral Home & Crematory of Little River/North Myrtle Beach is serving the family.

Harold, I enjoyed stopping by and chatting with you while I was either walking or riding a bike around Parkway in the afternoons. I will miss our times we had discussing different subjects and your continuing "computer training".....always wanting to learn "how did you do that". I'll miss your friendship. God Bless your family.
