Jeneese Edge Obituary
Conway
Jeneese Chestnut Edge, 81, wife of the late Eugene Macklen Edge, of Starr Drive, died Wednesday, August 22, 2012 at her residence.
Mrs. Edge was born in Conway, a daughter of the late Ozzie Hamilton Chestnut and Pinkie Faulk Chestnut. She was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church. Mrs. Edge retired from the United States Postal Service after 20 years of service. She was a member of the American Postal Workers Union. Mrs. Edge was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a care giver to many people in need.
Surviving are: a son, Eugene Macklen "Mac" Edge (Carol) of Suwanee, GA; three daughters, Patricia "Patty" Gayle Roberts (Michael) of Jacksonville, FL, Glenda Loretta Edge and Lila Rebecca "Becki" Edge both of Conway; a step daughter, Connie K. Edge of North Myrtle Beach; twelve grandchildren, Starr, Jennifer, Nina, Summer, Melissa, Regan, Kolbi, Catherine, Andrew, Christopher, Chase, and Michael; and seven great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway Chapel with Rev. Mike Kinlaw officiating. Burial will follow in Edge Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 1-2 PM Saturday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be sent to Bethlehem Baptist Church, 5201 Hwy. 905, Conway, SC 29526, or to the American Diabetes Association, 7021 St. Andrews Road, Suite 100A, Columbia, SC 29204.
