Matthew Isel Obituary
He was born in Morristown, New Jersey, a son of Michael Jr. and Beth Isel.
Matthew was the manager of Shell Rapid Lube in Murrells Inlet.
Survivors include his parents of Surfside Beach; two brothers, Michael Isel III and wife, Heather, of Va. and Jonathan Isel of Va.; paternal grandmother, Mary Isel of Surfside Beach; maternal grandfather, Jack vanMoerkerken, of N.J.; and many friends and other family members.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 26, 2007, at Trinity Presbyterian Church. Chaplain Mike Romano will officiate.
Visitation will be 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, July 25, 2007, at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Deborah Hospital Foundation, Cymrot Center, 212 Trenton Rd., Browns Mills, NJ 08015-0792.

Matt had to be one of the greatest people I have ever met. He always had a huge smile! He could make anyone laugh, even if he was having a bad day. I will miss him so much. Driving by his work will never be the same. I miss him. my thoughts and prays are with him and his family. What a great guy he was. I love you matt.

My Dearest Matt,
You were a leader and a friend to many people. I truelly enjoyed being your assistant manager at Shell Rapid Lube. We had many laughs together, and you stood by me when I needed a friend. I am glad to have known you. For memory sake I will always keep a box of mentoes candy in my center console the way you did. Matt's family you are in my prayers. Matt was truelly a blessing. Rest in peace my friend. You will be truelly missed!

Matt was a good, good man that meant a lot to me personally, and our entire company. I have witnessed just in the last two days many, many people coming to our Murrells Inlet location which was Matt's store, and calling us on the phone to offer their condolences. That in of itself shows how much Matt touched many people's lives.
Matt-We will keep you and your family in our hearts and in our prayers forever. Rest in Peace my friend!

Matt was a very dear friend to me. I went to prom with him my junior year of high school which was his first year here in Myrtle Beach. I saw Matt change over the past few years. It is going to truly hurt for the rest of my life to know that I have lost sucha great friend, but I know that he is watching over his family and his friends at this very moment. Matt did a lot for me and I have always appreciated him and looked up to him. He was like a big brother to me and I will always miss the "hey little sis" phone calls. Matt you will truly be missed. Mike, Beth, Michael, and Jay ... You will always be in my prayers and on my heart I love you all and with knowing and loving Matt I love you all too!

Sorry to about our loss. matt was a true and a dear friend a matter of fact he was my best friend. Beth and Micheal I love you both, and I am sorry I could not make it to the service but I will keep in contact and my love will always be with the Isel family and mostly matt.

We did not know Matt and his passing was relayed by Denise Niedt. Kevin really feels bad for the family since he hired Matt years ago to work for him.
