Ray Herlocker Obituary
Born in Asheboro, N.C., he was the son of Gladys Herlocker and the late Ray Boyce Herlocker, Sr., and his surviving wife, Kaye Herlocker of Asheboro, N.C.
Mr. Herlocker was a North Carolina National Guard veteran. He was the former owner of Custom Machine and Design, Inc. He will be remembered for loving and living life to the fullest.
Surviving in addition to his mother of Asheboro, N.C., are his wife, Anne S. Herlocker; son, Bill Herlocker and fianceé, Brenda Poston of Murrells Inlet; daughters, Tara Herlocker Hoover and husband, Todd, of Asheboro, N.C., Jenny Herlocker James and husband, Blair, and Nevada Herndon, all of Myrtle Beach; grandchildren, Harrison, Dillon, Savannah, Alexus, Brooke, and Kinsley; brother, Donald Herlocker of Myrtle Beach; nephews, Derek and Brett Herlocker of Georgia; and four step sisters.
Services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, December 18, 2010 at Episcopal Church of the Resurrection with Father Dana Boynton officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Grand Strand Regional Medical Center, Trauma Center, 82nd Parkway, Myrtle Beach, SC 29572.

Boyce taught me to love a sport that I absolutely hated....NASCAR....and I have been a fan ever since. The fondest memories that I have of living at Myrtle Beach was living across from Boyce, Anne, Jenny, Bill and Nevada...You guys will be in my prayers and I am so very sorry for you loss.
