Melody Cook

Cook Melody Choate Cook, 46, of Stanton, died Saturday in a boating accident at Lake JB Thomas near Snyder, Texas. Melody was born on February 24, 1964. and graduated from Big Spring High School in 1983. She and her husband, Kyle Cook, farmed in Martin County. She is survived by her husband, Kyle Cook, of Stanton; four children, Ragan Outlaw and husband, Justin of Greenwood, Justin Darden and wife, Casie of Big Spring, stepson, Kevin Cook and stepdaughter, Kayla Cook both of Stanton; four grandchildren, Hunter Outlaw, Brannon Darden, Bryleigh Darden, and Wheeler Cook; her parents, Wade and Toni Choate and brother, Kyle Choate, all of Midland. The family suggests memorials be made to the Heritage Museum of Big Spring, 510 Scurry, Big Spring, Texas 79720 or to a charity of your choice. Graveside services will be at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, February 8, 2011 at the Peace Chapel at Trinity Memorial Park with Rev. Barbara Kirk-Norris, pastor of St. Mary's Episcopal Church, officiating.
