Leslie Blake Obituary

Blake Leslie Marvin Blake, 77, of Midland, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, March 19, 2011. He was born on July 7, 1933, to Albert Monroe Blake and Soni Ada Carter. He married Peggy L. Flowers Blake, on May 5, 1961. Mr. Blake was a loving and devoted father, and exceptional grandfather who loved fishing, and was a very hard worker. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, daughter, four brothers, and two sisters. Those left behind to cherish his memory are sons, Billy Marvin Blake and Michael Roy Blake, both of Midland; daughters, Reva K. Blake Langley (Larry) of Seminole, Kayla L. Blake Richards (Robert) of Midland. He also leaves behind 14 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, three sisters, and one brother in law. Memorial services are scheduled at 1:00 p.m., Friday, March 25, 2011, at 1st Baptist Church, with Brother Bob Porterfield officiating. In lieu of flowers, make donations to Epilepsy; Make a Wish Foundation, or Cancer Sociality. Arrangements are under the direction of Ellis Funeral Home. Papa when I saw your picture I immediately thought of one of the times Sommer, Shelby and I came to see ya'll and Shelby said "You're HOT Papa!" You blushed and grinned. It makes me smile to think of the love you and Nana shared, I know I will be well if my marriage is half as strong! Until I see you again! I love you!
