Florine Smith Logan

Mrs. Florine Smith Logan, age 93, of LaGrange, GA (formerly of Douglasville, GA) passed away Saturday, December 8, 2018. She was born December 22, 1924 in Irondale, AL, daughter of the late Luther and Mary Harbin Smith. She was the beloved wife of the late Hayward Logan, whom she married October 17, 1953. Florine was preceded in death by her sister, Iris Smith Satterfield, and her brother, Howard Smith. Mrs. Logan worked for the Federal Reserve Bank in Birmingham, AL before the family moved to Douglasville, GA. She returned to work for the Federal Reserve Bank in Atlanta, GA in the Supervision and Regulation Department in 1973 before retiring March 29, 1991 with a total of 30 years of service. She and her husband were charter members of Heritage Baptist Church in Douglasville. She enjoyed reading and playing Canasta with her friends. Florine is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Jane Logan of Pine Mountain, GA; her granddaughter, Cynthia Logan of Athens, GA; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, December 16, 2018 from 1 until 2 o'clock pm. A graveside service will follow at 2 o'clock pm in the Rose Haven Cemetery.
