JOHN M. FRANKOVICH

I first met John hiking in to IOCA College Week at Chimney Pond in September, 1955. I remembered him because he was hiking with a crutch. It was good to encounter him again when we moved to Dewey Road in 1972. Stuart had known Emily through Sub Sig so it was great to meet again and have our three girls grow up with Lydia and Caroline. Sad loss of a terrific man. We can't begin to understand what this loss means to Emily and the family. Our thoughts are with you.

Dear Emily,

I can't tell you how sad I was to hear of John's demise. He was a wonderful friend and mentor and as you know we shared a lot of the same enthusiasms. Another close friend died today as well. I guess we're getting old. I hope we'll see you next fall who knows?
