Melissa: You were a sweetheart. Butch

My sincere sympathy. She was such a dear to aunt Jewell and uncle john.

Dear Mary Jane,
I am sorry to learn about Melissa's passing. Although I never got to meet her, I can only imagine what an awful loss this is for you all.

Faith can carry us through much and clearly she knew this.

My heart goes out to your families.

We never met Melissa other than through the updates provided by the Society of Former Special Agents. We wanted to help toward Melissas recovery in any way we could, including daily prayers of intercession that her health would be restored. God the Father had other plans for Melissa, but this we know her life will be marked by strong and enduring examples of faith, commitment, strength, and dignity in the face of unrelenting adversity. And I think that sadness for me is a good thing because it reminds me to care. I met Melissa many years ago in Washington, DC. What a beautiful person and a beautiful spirit. She gave me three CD of music that she had compiled--I've been listening to them since hearing of her passing. Her kindness will be missed in our troubled world. Sending my deepest condolences to her loving family.

What a brave and dedicated woman! Our country owes her their thanks. My heart goes out to her family and many friends !

As an FBI family we mourn with you. She will always be remembered
