Not sure what to say?

My heart goes out to you, Mary and Caron. I feel so lucky to have known Al and been able to sit with him and hear his stories of D-Day. I have said it many times, Al was so much than a D-Day survivor. He was a loving husband and father. He was my friend.

I am so sorry for your loss. I was saddened and shocked to read about Al's passing. Mary & Caren, my condolences are with you.

I had the privilege of meeting Mr. Gitelman while working at the Dallas VA Medical Center. I was the public affairs officer of the center and Mr. Gitelman was being honored for his WWII service during a D-Day Observance.

I subsequently shopped at his showroom where I purchased some beautiful tapestries which I will always treasure.

He was an American hero and a gentlemen. I was saddened to learn of his passing.

Mary and Caron:

Simone and I were greatly saddened to learn of Al's death, and we both had him in our thoughts on the recent anniversary of the D-Day invasion. He was a true gentleman and a true patriot.
