Abraham N. Gomez

ABRAHAM GOMEZ, our beloved son, brother, father, uncle, and friend, age 29, of Las Cruces passed from this life on Friday, February 16, 2018. He was born to Cleto and Rosario Gomez on September 14, 1988 in Las Cruces, NM.

He was currently taking courses and looking forward to getting his diploma this May so that he could further his education. He worked as a roofer for Western Enterprises for over 2 years. Abraham was very religious, enjoyed reading his bible, loved spending time with his two kids, nieces and nephews, brothers, sister and parents. Abraham’s life was tragically cut way too short. He will always be missed and never forgotten. One of the kindest, bighearted person God could’ve put on this earth.

Those left to mourn his passing include his sons, Jayden Gomez of Las Cruces, Jason Ruiz of Las Cruces, his father, Cleto Gomez; his mother, Rosario Gomez both of Mesquite; one sister, Brenda Quintana also of Las Cruces; two brothers, Hector Gomez of Los Angeles, CA and Gerardo Gomez also Mesquite. Other survivors include his two nieces, Brisa Quintana and Adriene Quintana; two nephews, Gerardo Gomez, Jr. and Geraldo Gael Gomez, as well as numerous uncles, aunts and cousins.

Visitation for Abraham will begin at 6 PM Monday, February 26, 2018 at San Miguel Catholic Church, 19217 S. Highway 28 in San Miguel where the Prayer Vigil is scheduled for 7 PM. Family and Friends will get together at 10 AM Tuesday, February 27, 2018 to celebrate the Funeral Mass in the same church. The Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at San Miguel Cemetery where he will be laid to rest.

Serving as casket bearers will be his son, Jason Ruiz, brothers, Hector and Geraldo Gerardo Gomez, brother -in-law, Rocky Quintana, and cousins, Daniel Gomez and Adrian Alva.
