Not sure what to say?

My father Monte Roth and Al have been business partners and friends for as long as I can remember. Al was a gracious and loving man, and a good friend. When my dad had heart surgery last Fall (before Al became ill), Al was at the hospital each and every day to visit dad, and cheer (read that:"egg") him on. He even spoon fed him his meals when dad was too weak to do it for himself- and I have a photo to prove it! When my Mom and later, my brother, died in the late 90's, Al and Lois were right...

Al was a very gracious host when I visited Tempe a couple of years ago. He had heard from his daughter that I was interested in flying around the area. He took me up in his plane, a past-time he clearly loved, and showed me the area. It was not only a kind and gracious act, it was also an insight into his love of aviation and his dedication to his business and his family. He was a generous person and a most gracious host.

When I was a kid growing up on Mockingbird Lane, Al, Adrian & Val were our neighbors. Al had such a great sense of humor and a real fun person to be around. Always with a smile. My parents and his family went to San Felipe, Mexico on vacation once. I'll never forget the trip, it was a blast.
Best Wishes. He will be missed.

Though I only met Al once, I saw what an impact that he had on his family and everyone around him. Alex, your determination and will are the best tribute to your dad. My thoughts are with you and your family during this time.
