Alton Green Obituary
Alton Green, age 84 of Jefferson City, TN, loving husband of Joan R. Green for 61 years, went to his heavenly home on Tuesday, June 21st, 2022. Alton retired after 47 years of service at Jefferson-Cocke County Gas Utility District. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather, and will be missed by all who knew him. Preceded in death by his parents, Claude Hooper Green and Cora Eller Kear Green, sister, Irene Green Courtney. He is survived by family members including his son, Johnny (Camille) Green, daughters, Donna (Dale) McPherson, and Missy Green, 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren, brothers, Roger (Susan) Green, Jerry (Sandra) Green, and brother-in-law, Robert Courtney, several nieces and nephews and a host of other family and friends. Receiving of friends will be held on Friday, June 24, 2022 from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Farrar Funeral Home in Jefferson City. Graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 25, 2022 at Mountain View Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. William Bradley and Rev. Dennis Alder officiating.
