Not sure what to say?

Still think of your dad and mom so often, especially when I’m traveling. Miss them both!
With love

It is with tremendous sadness that I learned just today, December 19,2018 that Al passed away. My heart breaks. My deepest sympathies to Andy and Suzanne and their families! I had great respect for him as a man, a friend, and as a devoted husband.

Around Thanksgiving I always remembered Al as he had a tradition of calling out to certain vendors at Ingersoll-Rand to wish them a Happy Thanksgiving..I had a few minutes and thought I would look him up and do the same. Needless to say I was saddened to read about his passing. I, like Jim Roy, were fledgling engineers under his wings. He taught us a lot and I still to this day I remember his guidance, integrity and professionalism. My sincere condolences and my thoughts are with you.

To The Shayer Family,
I was sorry to learn of Al's passing. I'll always remember his amazing photographs and travel stories that I was fortunate to be able to see and hear about when I visited Barbara.
My condolences to the family.

Andy and Suzanne and families,
Cliff and I were so sorry to learn about the loss of your Dad. We loved both he and your Mom very much. They were always our idols for their world travels. We have been trying to catch up to them for years but they had definitely traveled to more places than we will ever dream of.
We will miss him (as we miss your mom)
With love,
Mary and Cliff

Suzanne, You have shared so many wonderful memories during the time you spent travelling with your dad. Saying prayers for you and your family.

Andy and Suzanne:

Few people in their career really make a significant difference. Your dad was one of those special people. He was EB's lead pump engineer during the TRIDENT program; and he deserves most of the credit for the success of that program.

I had the privilege and honor to work under Al at EB for several years. Besides being EB's pump technical expert, he was a man of great character and integrity. Al was a terrific mentor for myself and several other less...
