Riding our bikes together. We once came up to a light on Doctor's Lake Dr. and Andre couldn't get out of his new clip on pedals fast enough and fell over! No injury resulted but it was both embarrassing and funny:) Happens to every biker at sometime:).

You're NEVER gone as long as there is ONE person who remembers and loves you. I aspire that that one person will be me. Andre, I wouldn't be where I am now in life, very successful and very happy, without the help and encouragement of you. I apologize for taking so long to get where I am;)! I love and miss you, always. Till we meet again my lifelong friend:). D.M. Paul Lewis

In 1988 I found out I was pregnant and had a choice of seeing Dr Griffin or the new doctor who just joined their practice. I chose the new Dr. because we shared the same last name. When we met he also shared me and his mom shared the same name as well. He made me feel like we were family instantly even tho he pronounced our name Europeanly as I would tease him. A couple great memories to share was when my 4 year old announced she was going to marry Dr Salas so she wouldn't have to ever...

We were doing a 100-Mile Bike Ride together down through Clay County in 1990(?) Andre had just bought a big beautiful top-of-the-line blue Reynolds 753 tubing bike from me with Campagnola gruppo from me. Just ten miles into the race the rear derailleur cracks in two! Considered impossible, but it did! He was stranded and I had to sadly continue on alone feeling so bad for his misfortune...but he didn't complain and took it stoically. The next week I got him a replacement derailleur and...

He was my friend. One of the best and most fun guys I ever knew. He loved his family, life, and adventure. I still miss him and think of him often. He helped and encouraged me to be better and still does.

He was kind and generous to all:).
We spent a lot of time together and he never said no to anyone.
He loved exercise and fitness.
He had a great spirit of adventure!
He was also not afraid to say or let someone know if they were screwing up:).
His knowledge of medicine was amazing.

Andre, Man why did God have to take you so soon. It had been a few years since I left Florida to 'tour' the world, but you stayed in my thoughts-and still do. Wow! We had so many great times together, biking, running and swimming. Playing with the kids, being kids ourselves...I don't think you ever grew completely up-and kudos to you for that:). You lived and loved, and were 'always there'. Nope, they'll never be another person like you. Eccentric and exciting. Determined and...
