He was the best teacher I ever had. I suffered profoundly from perfectionism and he was the only one who ever picked up on it. He saw that I wasn't able to get beyond ruling my page or writing a single word, and he taught me to do the work no matter how messy.

There were other teachers who didn't like him, thinking he wasn't teaching us and making us do the work because they heard us having fun from the demantables nearby, but actually he taught us well and why we sounded like we...
