Andy Stirling Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Oct. 20, 2017.
Andy Wayne Stirling, age 42, our beloved son, father, brother, uncle and friend, unexpectedly passed away Wednesday, October 18th, 2017. He left us too soon.

Born October 10, 1975 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Donald and Sherry Stirling. He was the cutest little baby boy. He was his parents' pride and joy. He started out with beautiful, blonde hair. He was such a good son throughout his life.

Andy was a great and wonderful person. He truly loved everyone in his life. He would give the shirt off his back to anyone. He was truly a giver. He fiercely loved his son; Tanner meant the world to him. He loved spending time outdoors; hunting, camping, fishing and four-wheeling with his family was when he was the happiest. Many weekends were spent out in the desert hunting for rabbits or just target shooting with his son and dad.

Andy had many friends. He loved going to school and was a lifelong learner. He was often found reading computer books that nobody else would even come close to understanding. He was so incredibly smart - constantly taking things apart just to put them back together again. He drove anything with wheels - semi-truck, school bus, dump truck, etc. He took pride in his jobs. He worked in technical support as well. Andy was a talented auto mechanic. He loved computers - fixing, repairing or building from scratch. He built a super fast gaming computer for his son, Tanner. He shared the love of games with his son. Andy and Tanner would spend hours looking at computer magazines, talking and dreaming of what they would someday build.

He was helpful with his family - helping his sisters with their car problems, helping his sister and her family move across the country, helping with cell phone problems, and patiently helping his dad try to learn how to use the computer.

Andy loved experimenting with his hair. We would always joke that Andy's hairstyle would change so frequently. We loved to tease him about his rockin' mullet from high school. Andy loved his sugar - Red Hots, Reese's peanut butter cups, Snickers, Mt Dew and peanut butter cookies. He also loved a good steak. Andy loved Christmas and loved to give the biggest and best gifts he could find.

Andy was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Andy graduated from Salt Lake Community College with an Associates of Science and was on the Dean's List.

Survived by his parents: Donald and Sherry (Kinder) Stirling; his son: Tanner Andy Stirling; his sisters: Julie (Todd) Taggart, and Sherry Stirling; his nieces and nephews: Hannah, Kaitlyn, Abigail, Spencer, Lilian and Brooklyn; many cousins, aunts and uncles.

Preceded in death by his grandparents: Mont & Darlene (Rasmussen) Kinder, David and Theresa (Newman) Stirling; Uncles: Dave Kinder, Terry Kinder, Bud Anderson, Bob Ingleby; Aunt: Susan (Stirling) Ingleby; cousin: Jeff Kinder.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 24th 12 noon, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints located at 4145 South 3920 West, West Valley City. Friends may call Monday evening 6:30 - 8:30 and 10:30 - 11:45 Tuesday before the funeral. Andy will be laid to rest at Valley View Cemetery located in West Valley.

We will miss you forever Andy. We love you forever!
