PEORIA HEIGHTS - Anna M. Arndt, age 89, of Peoria Heights passed away at 6:50 p.m. Friday, May 13, 2011, at Heritage Manor in Chillicothe.
She was born Sept. 2, 1921, in Peoria to Theodore and Sophie (Doderer) Eugster. She married William Otto Arndt in November 1940 in Davenport, Iowa. He passed away in April 1975 in Peoria.
She was also preceded in death by one son, Larry Arndt Sr.; and two sisters, Louise Wehnes and Barb Mackoway.
Survivors include two sons, Bill Arndt of Washington and Ted (Tina) Arndt of Peoria; two daughters, Joy Green of Peoria Heights and Susan (Craig) Riediger of Peoria; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Anna was a homemaker and a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Peoria.
Cremation rites have been accorded. Burial will be in Prospect Cemetery in Dunlap at a later date.
Schmidt-Haller Burial and Cremation Services in Peoria is in charge of arrangements.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
