ANSONIA: Anthony L. “Tony” DiPiro, age 85, entered eternal rest on November 23, 2022, in the comfort of his home, with his loving family by his side. He was the beloved husband of sixty years to Florence Agresta DiPiro.
Tony was born in Derby on September 4, 1937, son of the late Luigi and Gulia DiPiro. A lifelong resident of Ansonia, he was employed as an engineer/air frame supervisor at Sikorsky Aircraft in Stratford for forty-four years, until his retirement in 1999. He loved to cook and was especially known for his delicious “poppy’s meatballs.” Tony honorably served in the United States Army. He was an avid golfer, enjoyed fishing and was a fan of the Boston Red Sox.

Dear Flo. I was very sad
to read about Tony's passing. He was a good friend of mine for 80 years. We grew up together on Beaver st. Went to Lincoln school and ansonia high together. We enlisted in the army together and as you know was a friend when he met you. Even though I've out of state for 50 years we still met over the years. I extend my deepest sympathy to you and your family. Tony and you will be in my prayers. God bless you. GuidoDeMelis
