Antoinette Helen "Toni" (Piotrowicz) Steward, 86, of Fleetwood, and formerly of Hyde Park, died July 9, 2013 in Mifflin Center, Cumru Township. She was the wife of the late Russell Thomas Steward, who died July 18, 1991.

Born July 8, 1927 in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Walter J. and Czeslawa (Sulinski) Piotrowicz.

Antoinette attended Central Catholic High School.

She was employed for 35 years as a waitress, working at Pomeroy's Tea Room, Reading, Gelbach's Diner, Reading and Eric Moore's Diner, Muhlenberg Township. Antoinette was a member of Holy Guardian Angels Roman Catholic Church, Hyde Park, where she was an active member of the women's club. She was an avid bingo player and loved to cook, especially Polish dishes. She also enjoyed playing cards in card club.

Surviving are her four daughters, Marilyn M., wife of Robert J. Monath of Denver, Lancaster County; Yvonne B., wife of Christopher W. Smith of Leesport; Suzanne E. Kutz of Belfonte, Centre County; and Lisa L., wife of Joseph M. Cardell of Richmond Township. Other survivors include her five siblings, Dolores Larken of Las Vegas, NV; Rose Tucci of Roswell, GA; Mary Morawczynski of West Palm Beach, FL; Jeanette Davis of Cedar Bluff, MS; Harriet Skimski of Millsboro, DE; and Walter Piotrowicz of Reading. Also surviving are her seven grandchildren, Melissa K. Heckman, Kristy M. Kling, Kelly J. Kutz, Laurie L. Folk, Kimberly N. Kutz, Valerie L. Cardell and Joseph R. Cardell and eight great-grandchildren, Julia, Olivia, Allison, Jack, Braylon, Keaton, Krosby and Zoltyn. Antoinette was predeceased by her sister, Theresa Ettaro.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 9:30 a.m. in Holy Guardian Angels RC Church, 3121 Kutztown Road, Muhlenberg Township. A viewing will be held Thursday evening from 6:30-8:00 p.m. in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale. Burial will be in Becker St. Peter's Cemetery, Molltown.

To my "Steward" (with a "d" not a "t" cousins)..Cookie, Snickie, Suzie & Lisa & your families. I just learned this AM of Aunt Toni's passing (thus, joining the place that we all know the Piotrowicz girls have in heaven)and my sincerist apologies of not knowing sooner that I might have been able to extend my condolensces in person last week. Hopefully you are able to find peace and warmth in the memories that is shared with family. So many family memories...oh, and the soup, only just...

Gram was loved and will be missed by an abundance of people. She was so feisty and I loved her spunk. My mother and grandmother loved when we got the familes together because of her witty comments and tales. They send their condolences as well. I am so glad she got to meet Zoltyn and was happy we could make her smile during her last days with his visit. We will be sure to keep your memories alive with him as we tell of all our fond memories with you. We love you Gram!

Dear Gram, I have been very blessed to have you around for so many important times in my life. Having 4 generations is truly a blessing!! There are so many memories that I have and will cherish. No one will ever make the Polish food, Kushon, the chocolate cake and the many more items that you rocked at. Oh the Polish music on Sunday's that you would listen to on your little radio and dance around the kitchen in will be missed too!! I am glad that you are in peace and may you keep the heaven's...
