The Christian Benevolent Funeral Home, Inc., announce with the deepest sympathy the transition of Mr. Aubrey Nettles.
Mr. Aubrey (Malnu) Keith Nettles, a native of Prichard, AL and a resident of the Whistler community was born on May 2, 1957. He departed this life on Friday, September 17, 2021 at Saad Hospice Retreat in Mobile, AL.
He was a 1975 Graduate of Mattie T. Blount High School in Prichard, AL. He was a dedicated employee of Greer’s Grocery Warehouse where he worked a a laborer and forklift operator for over 30 years. Malnu enjoyed music, sports and spending time with family and friends. He was a fan of football, and was a loyal Green Bay Packers fan.
Aubrey Keith Nettles is preceded in death by his mother Dorothy Nettles and father, Aaron Nettles; his grandmothers Pauline Young and Mable Nettles; grandfathers Arthella Young and Sennie Nettles; two brothers in law, Daniel Mixon and R.C. Bates.
He is survived by three children: Siera (Bryers) Peeples of Hampton, VA, Shakira Nettles and Vinado Hale, both of Mobile, AL; three grandson, Payton, Devin and Davion Patrick of Hampton, VA; two granddaughters, Se’Kani Dallas and Serenity Fagin of Mobile, AL; four brothers, Rickey (Brenda) Nettles of Mobile, AL, Trenton Nettles of Tacoma, WA, Gene Nettles and Cedric (Marion) Nettles both of Mobile, AL; five sisters, Kerry Bates of Mobile, AL, Yvonne Mixon of Salisbury, NC, Janice (Autry) Pugh of Grayson, GA, Tommise (Donnell) Banks of Columbus, GA, and Cynthia Nettles of Mobile, AL; one uncle, Charles  (Alberta) Young and one aunt, Barbara (Patrick) Williams. He is also survived by a host of devoted nephews, nieces, cousins, neighbors and friends, one devoted friend Willie Coleman (aka Big Boy).
