Audrey NEAL Obituary

NEAL, Audrey Elizabeth

(Schuette) 90, of Clearwater, FL passed away in her home on November 13, 2017. She was born Nov. 11, 1927 in Quincy, IL. After Audrey graduated from Quincy Sr. High School, she began her career in Washington working in the Pentagon as a government typist. She returned to Quincy and worked briefly at WTAD Radio; she then went to work at ABC Packaging Company in Quincy. It was there she met her now husband, James L. Neal, the son of the company founder and owner. They married in 1949. She was soon seated on the Board of Directors for ABC, became secretary of the Board, and remained as such until the time of her death. Audrey and James owned ABC Packaging together. Audrey was a competitive ballroom dancer and competed regularly in various cities winning trophies and trophy coins. She also helped with many Little Theater productions and taught Sunday School at Faith United Christian Church of Dunedin where she was a member. She and Jim traveled often on company business and other trips visiting many countries. Audrey is preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Edna Shuette, and she is survived by her husband of 67 years, James L. Neal of Clearwater, as well as many cousins. A visitation will be held on Friday, November 17, 1-2 pm with funeral service to immediately follow at Sylvan Abbey Funeral Home, 2853 Sunset Point Road, Clearwater, FL 33759.
