Austin Shi Johnson

Austin Shi Johnson, 20, of Iowa Park, passed away Saturday, October 25, 2025.

The family will receive friends between 6 and 8 p.m. Friday, October 31, 2025 at Owens & Brumley Funeral Home in Wichita Falls.  Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m. Saturday, November 1, 2025 in the chapel of Owens & Brumley Funeral Home.  Interment will follow at Holliday Cemetery under the direction of Owens & Brumley Funeral Home in Wichita Falls.

Austin was born on September 4, 2005 in Wichita Falls, Texas to Newton Melton Denney and Crystal Dawn Johnson.  He attended school in Holliday where he played football and played in the Holliday Band, and graduated from Iowa Park High School in 2022.  After graduation, Austin began working for Grubbs CDJR in Wichita Falls.  He enjoyed shooting guns, riding 4-wheelers and side by sides with his uncle, and was an avid gamer known as “Figgs 75”.  Austin was a hard-worker, quick-witted, caring, and loved to see others laughing and smiling.

He was preceded in death by his great-grandma, Pauline Giddens.

He is survived by his parents, Newton and Crystal Denney; his sister, Renae Johnson; his grandparents, Terrie Johnson, and Darrel Johnson; his aunts and uncles, Darrel Johnson Jr., Melissa Johnson, Arthur Denney, Maggie Zada, and Jessica Hager; and numerous cousins and friends who will miss him dearly.
