Barbara Hancosk Grier, passed on June 28, 2015 at Carolinas Medical Center-Main. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 2, 2015 at 12 noon at Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church, 212 South Street, Belmont, NC. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 12 noon. Interment will follow at Henrys Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church in Belmont.

I met Mrs Grier when I was about 15 years old while working after school at a local retail store in Belmont. I saw Mrs Grier occasionally off and on over the past 53 years and during this time her sweet gentle personality never changed.
For her remaining family I hope the pain of her loss will soon be replaced with the many great memories Mrs Grier created through the years.

We were sorry to hear of the passing of Mrs. Barbara. We will keep you in our thoughts by day, and in our prayers at night. Mrs. Barbara was a beautiful person inside and out. Her smile will always be in my thoughts. God looked amoung his garden, to complete the beauty, he chose Mrs. Barbara. His garden is now complete and beautiful and coloful.
