Benjamin "BJ" Pomeroy

Obituary

May 6, 1981 < Oct. 5, 2007
Ben was taken from a family that adored him and friends who worshipped him in a tragic accident on Oct. 5, 2007.
Born on May 6, 1981, Ben was gifted with laughter and a joyous spirit for life. Ben graduated from Armijo High School in June 1999. Ben enjoyed being outdoors, fishing and hunting but most of all, BJ loved spending time with his fiancee, Kristen; his dog, Miss Cleo; and his friends and family.
Ben's memory is cherished by his parents, Tim and Marianne Pomeroy of Fairfield; fiancee, Kristen Aberson; two sisters, Tracy and Michelle; cousin, Monica; grandmother, Beverly; uncle, Mark; and many other family members.
Ben was rich in friends and by all who had met him. Ben will live in our minds and hearts forever.
A service in celebration of BJ having been a part of our lives will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 11, 2007, at Bryan-Braker Funeral Home, 1850 West Texas Blvd., Fairfield. Matthew Blevins will officiate. A memorial fund has been set up in BJ's name at Travis Credit Union.

Not sure what to say?

BJ and I went to middle school together - Green Valley Middle School, which has since been torn down to make way for the new one. He was always one of the popular guys that got all the girls, always knew what to say, was always cool. I remember him talking about his grandfather a lot - you could tell they had a good relationship. He played Pop Warner football when few kids played it. Such a great guy.

I remember BJ from school. I think about him from time to time. Very tragic.

Now your mom has come to be with you. I look for the brightest stars in the heavens because I know that's where the two of you are. My love to you both, always.

I can't believe you've been gone a year. It was weird to be at your house yesterday. Kristen was the hostess with the mostess and there were a lot of your friends there. The only thing missing was you. Uncle Tim has your boat in the driveway, so that's good. I hope you know how much people love you and miss you. Be our Guardian Angel. Watch over us and keep us safe. I love you!

Almost a year has passed and the pain of your absence has not shrunk at all. Not a day goes by that you are not on my mind. I still cant believe you are gone. You were greatly missed at the cabin last weekend. There was a void on the living room floor where you would sleep all day. Since you have left, things haven't been the same. You were the bond that held everything together.I hope things work out the way you would have wanted.I do and always will love you with all my heart. You...

Oh Cuzzo! I cant believe it's almost been a year since you left us. I hope you know how much I love and miss you. I think about you daily and my heart breaks for our family and Kristen's and all of your friends. I miss you.
