Betty Jean
Betty Madlinski, 60, of Port St. Lucie, FL lost her battle with cancer on November 22, 2012 in her home.
She was surrounded by her loving family, parents, Ernst and Marilyn Meinen of Toledo; daughters, Rhonda Hurley (Bill) and Terri Benson (Bill), and grandchildren, Jacob, Joe, William, Jessica, and Alan of Port St. Lucie and siblings, Steven Meinen (Holly), Stan Meinen (DeAnn), and Laura (Rod) all of Toledo.
A memorial service will be held in Toledo on Sunday, December 2, 2012, at 12:00 noon in St. Paul's United Methodist Church, 1201 Madison Ave. Please send donations in lieu of flowers to Treasure Coast Hospice 1201 South East Indian St. Stuart, FL 34997 or St. Paul's United Methodist 1201 Madison Ave. Toledo, OH 43604.

I am so very sorry to hear about Betty passing away. My desk was next to her's when I worked at The Stuart News and I always enjoyed our conversations. My condolences to her whole family, I too lost my grandmother on Thanksgiving.

Vicky and I are so sorry to hear that Betty has passed away. We both worked with her at the Stuart News for years. She was a fixture there. Betty and Mary would eat lunch together every day in the cafeteria. Not sure if they ever went out to eat. Sometimes I would run into her at Publix; I was always glad to see her and hear news about people we worked with, especially Mary. It is so hard to lose someone so young, I am so sorry for her family and friends. Please take comfort in knowing you are thought about with great affection and concern. I am so sorry to hear of your mom passing. It has been forever since have talked to you guys. Out parents were as close as can be growing up so spent a lot of time playing house with you guys. LOL

Sorry to hear of Betty's passing. I am an old old friend of hers from high school days and a few years beyond. Unfortunately i had lost touch with her when she moved to Florida but i thought of her often through the years. My prayers for the whole family at this time of loss. Mary Jo Swisher (Elson)
