Bob Freewald
Robert “Bob” Freewald passed away Wednesday April 5, 2023 at NMMC-West Point, at the age of 83. He was born February 21, 1940 in Chicago, IL to the late Irene Bandow Freewald and Gilbert C. Freewald. He was a Veteran, serving in the U.S. Air Force. He served in Vietnam and was highly decorated as an airplane Navigator and retired after 20 years of service.
Funeral Services will be held at 5:30 pm Tuesday April 11, 2023 at Robinson Funeral Home Chapel Visitation for family and friends will be held from 4:30 to 5:30 pm Tuesday at Robinson Funeral Home. Interment will be at Greenwood Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Cooley Freewald of West Point; son, Robert Dale Freewald (Jill) of ST. George, UT; 6 grandchildren, Alexis Freewald, Sydnee Freewald, Linzie Freewald, Jaiden Freewald, Hailee Freewald, Alyssa Freewald; 5 great grandchildren, Addie, Asher, Amillia, Kynzlee, Emree
Memorials can be made to the Wounded Warriors Project 4899 Belfort Rd, Suite 300, Jacksonville Fl 32256.
Robinson Funeral Home is serving the family with arrangements. Friends may leave an online condolence at robinsonfh.net.
