Mrs. Brenda Ellard Carroll, age 72, of Toccoa, passed away December 11, 2018 at Habersham Home East in Demorest. Born September 12, 1946 in Toccoa, she was the daughter of the late James Jackson and Emma Naomi Cawthon Ellard and was the widow of Boyd Franklin Carroll. She was a member of The Pointe Church and was retired from Tugaloo Home Health. Family members include her daughter and son-in-law, Carla and Michael Smith; son, Tim Taylor; grandchildren, Zachary Smith, Joshua Smith, Chandler Smith, Elizabeth Motes, and Tara Sweeney and her husband Dawson; several great-grandchildren; brothers and a sister-in-law, Edward and Bonnie Ellard and Walter Ellard. Funeral services will be held at one o'clock Friday, December 14, 2018 from the Chapel of Whitlock Mortuary with the Rev. Dennis Rafala and the Rev. Jerry Chitwood officiating. Burial will follow at Roselane Cemetery. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers; Zachary Smith, Joshua Smith, Chandler Smith, Brandon Ellard, Ty Ellard, and Levi Motes. The family will receive friends at the mortuary from 6pm – 8pm Thursday, December 13, 2018 and from 12 noon until the service on Friday.
