Callie Hawkins Obituary
Callie was affectionately known as "Mom". In Callie's early childhood years, she dedicated her life to Christ and was a faithful member to First Baptist Church of Annapolis, Maryland and Destiny World Outreach Center, in Killeen Texas. Callie had a very special devoted love for all of her grandchildren, whom she cherished and enjoyed their presence. She also love traveling, meeting new people and caring for a strangers.
Callie is preceded in death by three brothers, Roy, Arthur, and Luther Wilkins and her sister Liza Canada. She leaves behind to cherish her fond memories, three loving children, Staff Sergeant, Anthony Wilkins (Charlene), of Evans, Georgia, Michael Wilkins of Richmond Virginia, and Beatrice Dennis, (Marlin), of Killeen Texas. She leaves her precious nine grandchildren, Carlos Wilkins (Kyara), Eric Wilkins, Darnell Wilkins, Remonia Dennis, Tacarra Wilkins, Marlin Dennis, Jr. (Shantrice), Ariel Laster, Ty-Kara Laster, and Alexis Wilkins, and eleven great-grandchildren, Myleah Williamson, Aiden Hollivay, Rebecca Villegas, NaZyiah Jenkins, Malachai Dennis, MyJoi Wilkins, Nyaila Dennis, Ryan Wilkins, Cherish Wilkins, Chase Wilkins, and Eric Wilkins, Jr. Callie also leaves two brothers, Robert Wilkins (Ann), of Glen Burnie, Maryland and Willie Wilkins (Rosemary), of Annapolis, Maryland, and host of nieces and nephews, cousins, and many cherished friends.

Mom you were my mom. You was there when I need someone to talk to. I love going to the Elks events with you. Especially when we climbing over the guard Raul to get back to the room. You will be truly missed grandma! I'm so sad that you are gone but I am so happy that you are no longer in pain. Memories that I have of you will always stay in my heart and until I see you in paradise, I will keep my good memories of you and remember them well. I love you and will deeply miss you.

Mamahawk (short for Mama Hawkins) I remember when I first called you by that name you laughed, smile and said you liked it. I remember the talks we shared and the promise you asked me to make to you, and the promise is still good. I remember the jokes, laughter and fun we shared especially the ones when I ask you, Mama Hawk! Do you have on Grey socks? And you said No Boy! Then we burst out laughing because your legs where so ashy. Also, the ones with us In Concert (supposedly) with the old school artists like the Temptation, Al Green and The Stylistics Etc. I would tell you that we was leaving the group because they keep messing up the songs. Again, you would laugh. You accepted me with open arms and love me as your own. You was more than a Mother-in-law, you was a Mom. Thank you for the laughter, jokes, talks and everything you did.

Mother Hawkins will always hold a special place in my heart. She would always be my mother inlaw. She was very special loving caring and kind. The first time i met her we between so close.
