Keizer - Carl W. Crooks, a 61 year old Jedi Watchman of the Order of the Grey, has peacefully become one with the Force on Sunday, May 27th . Jedi Crooks was born June 16th, 1956 to Charles and Dorothy Crooks in Long Beach California. He was educated in Keizer Oregon beginning in 1968. He joined the Order of the Grey before he graduated from McNary High School. He was then placed with a Jedi Master from Oregon Science University and graduated with a Bachelors Degree of Science in Biology. Carl's Jedi training and initiation into the Order started when he gained employment at the North Salem Drive-In Movie Theater Temple. Passing his trials battling through Sith disguised as disgruntled and disruptive customers, he was promoted progressively through Jedi Temples until, as a Jedi Knight, at the South Gate Cinema Temple - the future home of the Northern Lights Theater Pub Temple - he earned the rank of Jedi Sentinel. Working under Jedi Master Proctor at the historic Elsinore Theater Temple and moving with him to the Movieland Cinema Temple, Jedi Crooks trained many outstanding Padawan. Jedi Crooks was recognized as a Jedi Watchman and began instructing Jedi Sentinels, more Padawan, Knights and Younglings when he took over the Capitol Movie Theater Temple until its removal as a Jedi Temple, when Jedi Crooks retired from the active roles of the Order of the Grey. Jedi Carl Crooks, married Debora Parker on February 25th, 1989 and they created their own temple retreat. Since Watchman Crooks loved his roses, the Verda Temple had many. While retired to his retreat temple, Jedi Crooks loved science, cooking, going on intergalactic cruises and his roses. Science always played a part in his life, from experimenting as a Youngling to cooking as a Retired Jedi Watchman. Jedi Watchman Crooks returned to the active Order of the Grey roles to assist his colleagues, the Jedi Weaponsmaster and help open the Northern Lights Theater Pub Temple before retiring permanently from active service to the Order of the Grey. His passing, reunion with the Force, is survived by his wife Debbie, daughter Sheri, grandchildren Auirian and Skyler and his great grandson. The Order of the Grey will have a private Celebration of Life with the Force ceremony for all of Jedi Watchman Crooks' friends.
