I have so many beautiful memories that I do not know where to begin. I grew up across the street from the McKenzie's Carol was Scott and Muffy's Mom to me. She made all the kids in the neighborhood feel like her home was an extension of theirs. When I see the pictures Scott posts of her, I realize how much Martha looks like her. A great lady who raised a wonderful family.

I always enjoyed talking to Carol. Such a fun lady. You could tell by talking with her how much she loved her family and friends. I know she will be missed by many. My heart goes out to Dr MacKenzie, her family and friends. May wonderful memories comfort you during this difficult time.

So sorry to hear of sweet Mrs. MacKenzie's passing. We were neighbors and friends of the MacKenzie family growing up in Flint. A finer family you will never find! Reading today about Mrs. MacKenzie's life experiences opened my eyes and warmed my heart. But it was no surprise; she was such a kind and generous spirit. My family sends big hugs and much love to Dr. MacKenzie and the 'kids' from the ol' neighborhood.

What a huge empty hole has been left behind in our world. It always seemed to me that this beautiful person filled the space of 10 other people with her love, compassion, and adventurous spirit. Aunt Carol and I shared the great love for dogs .She always had a dog in her home.I remember after Lacey passed away she told me I miss her so much....We were growing old together
Aunt Carol always loved a good social event as did I.I will miss her this Christmas.
