Carroll Hines, 81, of McComb, Mississippi, a pioneer in radio in Southern Mississippi, died of heart failure at Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center in McComb on Saturday, September 23, 2000. Visitation is scheduled for Monday, September 25, 2000, 5-8 p.m. at Catchings Funeral Home, 506 Maryland Avenue, McComb. Further visitation is scheduled for Tuesday, September 26, 9 a.m. until time of funeral services at 10:30 a.m., officiated by the Rev. Ed Sudduth. Burial will be at Hollywood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in his memory to the Family Life Center of First Baptist Church, 1700 Delaware Avenue, McComb, MS 39648.
