Catherine A. Selig

Catherine Ann Selig, age 73, passed away March 15, 2023 after a brief illness.  Cathy was born October 8, 1949, in Appleton to Donald and Rosemarie (Humski) Etka. She was one of three daughters born to the couple. She grew up in Appleton and was in the first graduating class at Appleton East. Following graduation, she began work at Sentry Foods in the Deli department.  She was part of the opening staff for that store.  Eventually she began work as a housekeeper at the Paper Valley hotel, a job from which she retired.   Cathy enjoyed spending time with her great grandchildren and will always be remembered for her quick wit, smart comments and the love of cats.   Cathy is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, two granddaughters, four great grandchildren as well as two sisters: Barb and Betty.   The family will celebrate Cathy privately and thanks friends and family for their care and concern.
