ARROWOOD, Charles E. – Of Grand Blanc, age 90, died Friday, August 27, 2021 at his residence surrounded by his family.
Funeral service will be held at 12 p.m. Thursday, September 2, 2021 at Calvary Apostolic Tabernacle, 1013 Hughes Avenue, Flint, Bishop Keith McKinnies officiating.
Burial in Flint Memorial Park to follow.
Visitation 4 p.m. – 8 p.m. Wednesday at Calvary Apostolic Tabernacle and also 11 a.m. Thursday at church until the time of the service.
Charles was born in Breathitt County, Kentucky on December 5, 1930, the son of the late Charlie and Emily (Stamper) Arrowood. Charles was employed by GM for 47 years in skilled trades. On December 15, 1951 he married Joann Combs. He enjoyed woodworking and loved camping and vacations with his family.
Surviving are daughter, Sharion and husband George McGinnis;
son, Garry Arrowood;
grandchildren, Kim and Ben Handa, Brian Lee Arrowood, Jill and Mark Sanburn, Christopher and Tina Arrowood, Jason Hazel, Jeremy Handa, Josh Handa, Sha’Lorena Manoharan;
sisters, Kathleen, Ada, Dessie, Faye and Bonnie;
brothers, Manuel and George;
many great and great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Joann Arrowood; son, James Arrowood; 3 brothers and 1 sister.
