Not sure what to say?

What an amazing man. A stellar scientist contributing so much to make the world a better place and his contributions to improve the future of space exploration for NASA as well. Remarkable !!!!! My deepest condolences to you especially Sarah and your family.

Chuck was brilliant with a great sense of humor! Chuck and Gretchen gave wonderful Winter Solstice Parties! RIP

I loved reading about Charles, his early interest in science and his work at the Space Lab. His wit and humor, with a great smile is so remembered when we would chat after Friday night music concerts in Berkeley.

Thank you Sarah, for sharing this beautiful rememberence of your father.
Peace, Norm Fisher

Chuck was one of the best persons I've ever known. He played a significant role in helping me to enjoy my life on several levels. I still recall his saying, "Bob, you work too much. Let's go skiing." Some of my fondest memories of my grad school days are ski trips with him. I also recall his helping me to build a tachometer for my 1965 SAAB, which took us on many ski trips. Very sad for me to learn that Chuck is gone. Gretchen, my condolences to you and your family.
