Not sure what to say?

We got a Christmas card from Charlotte as we have the past 40 years and were following back up to see if our annual lunch/dinner was going to be on the menue this year. We were shocked to hear today of Charlotte's passing. A sweet lady and dear friend for over 50 years. Our hearts are heavy as we express our deepest sympathies to her Mom, brother and family.

a dear sweet neighbor, friend and "third grandmother" to my children in Savannah. She will be missed by all of us.

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome...

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.

Charlotte came into our lives over 4 years ago when she was helping in my daughters 1st grade class at May Howard. She asked if she could take Ashlynn and do some fun things with her . As a single mom without much help I thought it was a grand gesture and of course said yes. Little did I know I would gain a close friend that I loved very much. Ashlynn and myself miss her so much. But as Ashlynn says " I try not to be sad because I know I will see her again in heaven".

We knew Charlotte when she lived in Atlanta. She was a delightful person and will be missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family.

Our condolences to Charlotte's family. We share in your loss. She was a dear friend to us. We will miss sitting with her at Calvary Baptist Temple, going to lunch after church, and attending various Bible studies and Savannah Theatre productions with her. What a sweet, kind, thoughtful, generous, beautiful Southern Lady!!!! Her sweet smile and positive attitude will be missed by all who knew her. We will keep your family in our prayers.

Love you cos. Will miss you

Charlotte was always such a dear sister to those of us who knew her in college and afterward in AXO, her sorority. Most of all I remember her smile and kind nature. We knew her at Stetson University and in Alpha Chi Omega. She had many friends.
