Not sure what to say?

Chris was a dear friend of my mother's, Beverly Moriarty. They worked in the Holyoke school system together. Just a wonderful person. My sincere condolences to her family.

I had the privelige of working with Chris at Dean Tech when I was a young teacher. To say that her grace and kindness helped me to become a good teacher is an understatement. She was the type of teacher who children were lucky to have. Her smile warmed everyone's soul. She had a way about her that lit up every room that she walked into. She made every subject that she taught come alive for the young people she was so happy to be around. I hope to emulate 1/3 of the energy Chris put into her...

To the family of Chris O'Connell, my deepest condolences. Chris was a very special lady who loved education and enjoyed every minute she was working with students. Her love for the arts was self evident the minute I was introduced to her. She made a difference in our students by offering her kindness, insight and guidance. Those gifts now live vicariously through our students as they go through life. Thank you Chris for making this world a better place! You will always be remembered!

Mark, our sincere thoughts and prayers are with you. We think of you and Chris whenever we drive by your house in South Hadley. Cindy

The obituary for Chris is beautifully written, capturing so many aspects of her natural grace, love of people and generous nature. So many of us at South Hadley High School benefitted from her quiet support of us, whether we were aware of it or not. I always felt as if she had my back, in small things and large. She had a way of being there for us, with no words needed. We can all remember how trying and tricky high school could be at times, and to have a friend like Chris was a real gift...

I remember Chris when I worked in the Holyoke Hospital ER. Her kindness, compassion and smile made everyone feel better. Condolences to her family..May she rest in peace.

Mark - it´s been so long since I´ve seen you and Chris but you were two of the kindest people I met from working at Oakdale Dental. My heart goes out to you at this time

Reliving Chris´ life, kindness and courage in her beautiful obituary reminds us that these qualities still exist in our society. Those of us who were fortunate to teach with her were inspired by her example and share in your sorrow, Mark.

No words can ease your loss, Mark. Her kind and beautiful soul has left a gaping hole in you and all of us who loved her. I have so many wonderful memories to relive and cherish. Peace to you and all her family--we were all so blessed to have her in our lives.
