Cindy L. Abel, 62, of Wind Gap, passed away, Sunday, December 27, 2020, at St. Luke’s Hospital, Warren Campus, Philipsburg,


Born in Bethlehem, PA, January 22, 1958, she was the daughter of the late William F. and Loraine (Johnson) Silfies Abel.


She attended Colonial Intermediate Unit 20.


Cindy was a member of St. Peter’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Pen Argyl and the former Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Wind Gap.


The family would like to thank all of the healthcare professionals and caregivers who attributed to her healthy and joyful life.  We would also like to thank relatives, friends and neighbors who unconditionally accepted and loved her.  Cindy created a warm feeling in others who interacted with her.


She is survived by two sisters, Janet S. Barczynski and her husband Thomas G. of Pen Argyl and Constance S. Altemose and her husband Richard of Wind Gap, a niece Jennifer Engler, six nephews, Michael and Christopher Nasatka, Matthew and Joshua Barczynski, and Mark and Jeffrey Altemose, great nieces and nephews, cousins and a brother in law John Nasatka of Pen Argyl and an Aunt Ruth Custer of Wind Gap.


She was preceded in death by a sister, Ferne S. Nasatka.


Graveside services will be held a 12 PM, at Buena Vista Cemetery, 1919 US 209,  Brodheadsville, PA 18322.  The Ruggiero Funeral Home, LLC, Pen Argyl is in charge of the arrangements.


In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be offered in Cindy’s name to St. Peter’s Evangelical Lutheran Chuch, 1422 Church Road, Pen Argyl, PA 18072
