Clara Adelle Mcclendon

Clara Adelle McClendon, 77, of Magnolia, died July 28, 2011 at Beacham Memorial Hospital. She was born August 14, 1933 in Liberty, MS. She was the daughter of Elmer B. and Frances Jane Alford Hughes. She was a homemaker and a member of New Zion Baptist Church in Kentwood. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James Kenneth McClendon; a son, Michael Kenneth McClendon; two brothers, Eugene Hughes and Aubrey Hughes and one sister, Francis Frazier. She is survived by three children and their spouses, Brenda Ann and Ford Lambert, Ronald Lynn and Juanita McClendon and Glenda D. and Eli McElveen, all of Magnolia; one brother, Edward Hughes of Slaughter, LA; one sister, Barbara Thomason of Lake Charles, LA; nine grandchildren, Jamie McClendon, Tabitha McClendon, Brittany Hammond, Angela McMillan, Davy Lambert, Sarah McClendon, Ben McClendon, Jeff Hughes and Sheri Hughes; seven great-grandchildren, Dalton McMillan, Caitlin McMillan, Bryson Lambert, Noah Lambert, Allie Hughes, Colton McClendon, Danika McClendon and Braylon Hammond; one great-great-granddaughter, Cailyn McClendon; a daughter-in-law, Kathy McClendon of Magnolia and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation is Friday at Hartman-Sharkey Funeral Home in McComb from 5PM until 8PM and Saturday from 9AM until services at 10AM with Rev. Troy Bankston officiating. Burial will be in McClendon cemetery. Pallbearers will be George McNabb, Marc McElveen, Kenneth McClendon, Buddy Holden, Rickie Williams, Jr. and Fred Williams. Honorary pallbearers will be Rickie Williams, Sr. and Willie Frazier.
