Not sure what to say?

One of the nicest pleasures of my life has been
knowing Cort Mathers and experiencing the warmth and kindness that he had for all who knew him. A good man has passed.

Dear Christina: I was so sad to read of your father's passing. I fondly recall sharing stories with you about our wonderful fathers. My dad died this past November. Perhaps our dads are having the opportunity to reminisce about their days on the court. Wishing you and your family comfort during this very difficult time. Richard Simons

Dear dear Neen, in this sorrowful time I would like to extend to you and your family my heartfelt condolences. May Our Lord comfort you and your loved ones.

From where I sat (on the Appeals Court) he always did good work. That's an accomplishment,

I wanted to extend my condolences to Judge Mathers' family. Cortland provided kind and compassionate legal advice to my family and me for many years. We will always be grateful to him and fondly remember his help through our legal challenges. Our lives were richer because Cortland took the time to make a difference for us. Rosemarie Rappold

To the Mathers Family,

Sending my deepest sympathy over the loss of your father.
On and off over the years I did Cortland and Carol's hair. Carol would just laugh when I said,"He cleans up nicely!" It was always fun and interesting to have them in my chair.
Probably without knowing it ,they have both greatly impacted my life by sharing their stories and wisdom.
My thoughts and prayers to the family.
Love,
Yvonne

One of the nicest families I have ever known, will always remember our talks about football and horses thoughout the many years I kept you and Carol looking your best, love you both.

To all the Mathers,
I share in your sadness with the passing of your beloved Father. Cort was a true gentleman who exuded grace, wisdom and warmth. Still see that big smile and the twinkle in his eye. He was also a great neighbor who was very fond of the whole Fairview Ave gang. Forever grateful that he married me and Barry, making our special day that much more special. He also loved that Barry was a fellow Bodwoin alum! I will cherish his memory always, and forever hold him and...

My deepest and sincerest condolences. He was always very kind and so very smart! I saw him in his yard as recently as last summer working on his airplane and his old classic automobile. A truly wonderful human being.
