Craig Blaine Bellis, 73, of Bangor, PA, passed away Monday, December 28th, at his residence. Craig was born in Pen Argyl, PA on December 8, 1942, a son of the late Kenneth R. and Barbara E. (Reimel) Bellis. He was the husband of Janet R. (Ruch) Bellis. They celebrated their 38th wedding anniversary last April. Craig was employed as a correctional officer for the Northampton County Department of Correction in Easton, PA, for 33 years, until retiring in 2007. Prior to that, he was employed as an equipment operator for the Laborers Union Local 472 in Newark, NJ. Craig was a 1960 graduate of Pen Argyl High School. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. Craig enjoyed bird watching, Elvis Presley, football and watching television. He was an avid NASCAR fan and always enjoyed watching his favorite drivers Dale Earnhardt Sr. and Jr. win. He was a member of East Bangor United Methodist Church in East Bangor. In addition to his wife, Janet, Craig is survived by three daughters, Lesley Bellis Jones, of Allentown, PA; Stacy Jo Bellis Tripodi and her husband Tom, of Nazareth, PA; and Linda Malachowski and her husband James, of Mt. Bethel, PA; a son,Craig R. Wickett, of Bangor, PA; a brother, Kim Bellis and his wife Janice, of Arkansas; 6 grandchildren Brandon Malachowski and his wife Alyssa, Briana Fraunfelter and her husband Travis, Jamie and Kylee Wickett, and Daniel Blaine and Gianna Tripodi, and a great grandson Parker Malachowski. Craig was preceded in death by a daughter Leslie Ann Wickett and a brother Gary Bellis. Funeral services will be held at the Gaffney Parsons Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 4 Lillian Lane, "Village of Johnsonville" Bangor, PA, at Noon on Saturday, January 2nd, with Rev. David Goss officiating. Friends are invited to call Saturday 10 AM - Noon in the funeral home. Burial will be held East Bangor Cemetery East Bangor, PA.
