BOTKINS - Danford L. Aukerman, 58, of Botkins, Ohio passed away on Saturday, April 1, 2023, at the Shelby Skilled Nursing Facility. He was born in Dayton, Ohio on February 22, 1965, son of Glen and Jean (Cox) Aukerman who both survive.
He is also survived by his children: Jason (Joslyn) Aukerman, Krista (Zachary) Converse, Jonathon Aukerman; grandson, Owen Converse; siblings: Melissa Walther, Douglas (Melissa) Aukerman, and Jean (Rob) Vickers; nieces: Grace, Katherine, and Adele; and a nephew, Mason.
Dan was a 1983 graduate of Jackson Center High school and after attended the Howe Military Academy. He was an avid Ohio State Buckeyes fan and loved attending games with his children. He also enjoyed watching movies and tv shows.
Pastor Bryan Meadows will officiate a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 8, 2023, at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home, 214 W. Pike Street, Jackson Center. Visitation will be one hour prior from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Mound Hill Union Cemetery in Eaton, Ohio at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 8, 2023.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 11454, Alexandria VA 22312 or to the National Kidney Foundation, 30 East 33rd Street #3, New York, NY 10016.
