Daniel Crowell Obituary
Daniel Richard Crowell, 48, of Merritt Island, FL, passed away on June 28, 2011.
Dan was preceded in death by his father, Richard Crowell. He is survived by his wife, Jamie Crowell, of Merritt Island; mother, Sandra Rezanka, and step-father, William Rezanka, both of Rockledge; sister, Joan Logue; and brother, Thomas Crowell both of Merritt Island; sister, Susan Crowell, of Melbourne; three nephews, one niece, and his two dogs, Blitzen and Precious.
Services will be held Thursday, June 30 at 3:00 p.m. at Divine Mercy Catholic Church in Merritt Island. A reception will immediately follow at the social hall.
Friends and family planning an expression of sympathy are asked to send plants in lieu of flowers as Dan was a lover of the outdoors.

I was taken by surprise by Dan's early departure from this life. Flamingo was a great guy and we had a lot of fun in Monroe and in Florida. My thoughts and prayers are with the whole Crowell family. Rest in Peace my friend.

Daniel, my firstborn son, born from love, died surrounded with love, united with the all-loving Creator. I will treasure the long conversations and the time we spent together between hospital stays as a very special gift to hold close to my heart .. I knew Dan years ago, while he was still in CT. Some of my best memories from that time included him, whether it was cruising around in the Olds or being "Roadies" for Milestone, we always had fun. He was one in a million. Prayers and peace for all who had been blessed to know him.

I've known you (Crowells') for just about 15yrs. You have always been so kind to me and have become my great friends. Dan held the hugest heart and always kind. He will be missed. June 30,2011 Finding myself in Rome,Italy these days, I concelebrated Mass for Dan's eternal repose at St. Peter's today, with 7 other priests and about 500 people. Afterwards, I went to the tomb of the Blessed John Paul II, and prayed for Dan, and those who mourn his passing. I wish you all God's deep abiding peace! God bless, Rev Andy Huhtanen(cousin)
