Aug. 15, 1930 - Nov. 29, 2016 Mr. David "Honey Boy" "Godfather" Dougal Enlers, Sr., age 86, a native and resident of Mobile, AL, was born on August 15, 1930 to the late Mr. Sam Enlers and Mrs. Alma Sampson Enlers. He departed this life on November 29, 2016 at his residence surrounded by family. Mr. Enlers was a faithful member of the Holmes Street Missionary Baptist Church. He was the owner of David's Style Barber Shop for Thirty-five years and the manager of Chapman's Repair. He retired from Ingalls's Ship Building in 1996. In addition to his parent, he was also preceded in death by his daughter, Renee Enlers; brother, Overseer Hilbert Enlers, Sr. and two sisters, Alma Motley and Rebecca Gray. He will be forever loved by his wife of sixty-five years, Ida Beatrice Levingston Enlers; two devoted daughters, Sandra Enlers and Sheliah (Johnnie) Young; seven sons, Willie Levingston, David (Lenetta) Enlers, Jr., George, MSG (RET) Clifton (Eva) Enlers, Sr. of Arlington, VA, Hilbert (Michelle) Enlers, Bruce (Iris) Enlers and Hosea (Earnestine) Enlers,all of Mobile; one brother, Overseer Clifton (Dorothy) Enlers, Sr.; two sisters-in-law, Delores Taylor of Eight Mile, and Mary Levingston of Prichard, AL; one brother-in-law, Johnny Levingston of Prichard; eleven grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. His remains will lie in state 1-7pm Friday, December 9, 2016 at Small's Mortuary, Mobile. A visitation will be held on Saturday, December 10, 2016 from 9am until the 11am funeral hour at the Church of God Pentecostal, 2011 Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Ave. Mobile, AL, Bishop Tommy Williams, Pastor, Bishop Hilbert Enlers, Jr., Officiating minister.
