David B. Gross

David B. Gross, age 45, passed away on Thursday, December 17, 2009, following an extended illness. He was born in Canton on December 21, 1963 to the late Robert A. and Janet M. Gross. David was a 1982 graduate of North Canton Hoover High School and went on to earn an Associates Degree in Computer Programing from Stark Technical Institute. He was employed with Diebold for 15 years before moving to Texas and taking a job with Progressive Insurance. While in high school, he was a member of the acappella choir where he was chosen to be in the Hi Lo's. He was a member of the North Canton Playhouse, where his talents were acting and directing. He enjoyed playing piano and was involved in many computer organizations. He was chosen to be in charge of the maintenance for the ATM machines at the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Robert J. Gross. Survivors include his brother, Steven Gross of North Canton; his sister, Diane Gross of Canton; and his nephew, Marc Coons of Berkley, CA, who was the apple of David's eye. In honoring his wishes, David will be cremated and there will be no services. The Reed Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
