David was a kind and generous man. I am childhood friend of his children growing up across the street. He was always cheerful and loving. My condolences to his loved ones.

Patti,
David gave us all so much. The many days he would stop in an visit us at Balasses House were so refreshing. He was a giver!
I am glad that I once had the opportunity to really thank him for his friendship and good advice.
All the best to you and your family. Ami Ayre

A wonderful man with a wonderful spirit. My time working with him at The Bridgehampton Child Care and Recreational Center meant a tremendous amount to both the kids at The Center, the community at large, and to me personally. Sending you, Patti and Geige, the warmest of thoughts.

Patti,
David's picture says it all...the smile and twinkle in his eyes exemplifies his love for life and people. I am sitting here now looking at his generous and thoughtful gift of an antique rose book he gave me long ago at our reunion in East Hampton. I will be with you, Patti, in spirit on Friday.
With love,
Dawn

Extraordinary life and extraordinary man. Clever businessman, generous philanthropist, extraordinary husband, father, and grandfather, and the best friend I have ever had. It was a privilege to share so many special times. My life is better because I knew him.
