We miss you Victoria..

We had a wonderful opportunity to touch this man life. He definitely touch ours. We got to stay with him and his beautiful wife for our visit to Berkley. It was amazing and loved our chats while we were there. He will be missed and we are honored to spend the time we did. He will always be remembered.. May you find peace of mind. God Bless.

Hello. My name is katy young. My grandma, Alice Wills Young was the sister of Michael wills. My dad , Patrick Young was Davids cousin. One of my favorite memories as a child was visiting Michael and Babette at their Willy nilly ranch. Although I did not spend much time with David, I always admired him - his politics and photojournalism . The last time I saw David was about 6 or 7 years ago at my uncle Dennis' memorial service... David had entered my mind recently and I was looking for him...

Dear Wills family,

La Peña sends our condolences to your family for the sad loss. David's spirit lives on in the projects he worked on such as the ticket booth and our exit corridor. Que viva David!

Paul from La Peña

David was both politically aware and an excellent photographer. In the 1980s, he accompanied the Bay Area veterans of the Abraham Lincoln Brigade to Nicaragua, where they delivered many ambulances to assist the wounded during the civil war there. His photographs of that journey are a beautiful, important part of the historical record. He was a great friend, sorely missed.
