Cobbs Funeral Home - Pontiac Obituary

Dennis Darwin Thompson of Pontiac, Michigan departed this life on April 8, 2022.


Mr. Thompson will lie in repose on Friday, April 22, 2022 at Cobb's Funeral Home 151 Orchard Lake Road in Pontiac, Michigan from 2 p.m. until 7 p.m.


He was preceded in death by his parents, Moses and Erma Thompson, siblings; Mary Ann, Michael, Karen, Denise and Grace (Alton) Smith.  


He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife Delores of 40 years, his children, Naquita, Nicole (Marcellus), Dennis Jr., Donnell (Tasha) and Natalia, 10 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild,  siblings; Elder Gregory (Cindy),  Pete ( Memphis, TN), Kathy (Allen, TX), John Sr., (Shannon), (Killen, TX), Charita (Marvel, AK), Joseph (Carolina) (Redford), MI) and Jeanetta (Marvel, AK) and goddaughters, Marcia Elam and Keiara Gladney.   Also survived by a host of nieces nephews, cousins and other loving relatives and friends.


Dennis also leaves his special friends, Deacon Charles Davis and Elder Terry Webb, the Northern District Council and the Burning Bush Apostolic Ministries Church family.


 


Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 23, 2022 at 10 a.m. at Greater Bible Way Temple 1180 N. Perry St., Pontiac, Michigan, family hour will start at 9:30 a.m.  Internment will be held at Perry Mount Park Cemetery in Pontiac, Michigan.

Sis Deedee, You and your family have my deepest sympathy. My prayers are with you that God bless and strengthen you through this season . Brother Dennis was truly a man of God and walked accordingly. When I first got saved brother Dennis was at New Liberty all the time although Bible way was his home church, but at that time brother Dennis was at somebody’s church whenever a service was going on Lol! Truly an encourager. Till we all meet again my dear brother rest well!

On behalf of the Smith family, I am sending condolences. Did not know that Dennis had pass.

Grief can be so hard, but our special memories help us cope. Remembering you and your loved one today and always.

Rip cousin Dennis sorry for your loss to wife and family

Dennis and I used to work together in various Pontiac City Campaign. He was a good and hard working man. Very smart and I was impressed by his wisdom. He loved God. My condolences to the family.
