Dorothy (Gagner) Cybulski, 97, of Worcester, MA, passed away peacefully on October 28, 2025, after a period of declining health. She was predeceased by her husband, Retired Worcester Police Lieutenant Raymond F. Cybulski, Sr. in 2012. Born February 25, 1928, Dorothy was the loving daughter of the late Wilfred and Anna (Wales) Gagner.
Dorothy received her Bachelor’s Degree in Education and Master’s Degree in Education from Worcester State (College) University. She was a sixth-grade teacher for many years in the Worcester Public School System before her retirement. She was a member of the Massachusetts Teachers Association, the National Education Association, and the Worcester Education Association.
Dorothy will be lovingly remembered and missed by her daughter, Diane Cybulski Grande of Shrewsbury, MA, her son, Raymond F. Cybulski, Jr. and Rebecca Brimhall of San Diego, CA, her great grandson, Silas who was so special to her, her brother and sister-in-law, Wayne and Sue Gagner, her sister-in-law Phyllis Haire, her former son-in-law, Gerald “Jerry" Grande, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.
In addition to her husband and parents, Dorothy was predeceased by her granddaughter, Lauren E. Grande and her brother and sister-in-law, Warren and Madelyn Gagner.
Services will be private and are under the direction of The Mercadante Funeral Home, 370 Planation Street, Worcester, MA. Memorial donations may be made to Be Like Brit, 66 Pullman Street, Worcester, MA. 01606 or Hope Lives Here, 1085 Main Street, Holden, MA. 01520.
The family would like to thank Florence and her staff on the Grafton Unit of Care One of Millbury for their compassionate care during Dorothy's time with them.
